Soleterre, Pavia (2019)
The project 'Fondo per la povertà oncologica,' (Cancer support fund in Italy) is an innovative project started by Soleterre, which offers economic assistance to the families of children fighting against cancer. The financial assistance helps families offset the costs of travel to and from the hospitals where their children are being cared for, which are frequently far away from their homes. The monetary support also helps parents of cancer patients who must often reduce their working hours in order to be by their child’s side during treatment. Additionally, the project promotes work reintegration paths for young cancer survivors and their families.
