Social assistance
L'Abilità Onlus, Milano (2016-2019)
Once again in 2017, the non-profit organization Abilità ('Ability') will support the project 'In viaggio senza valigie' ('Traveling without baggage'), a social assistance program that aims to counter the feelings of abandonment and isolation that often afflict disabled children and their families. In 2016, 70 families benefited from the work of this association while in 2017, this number is expected to reach 80 and also sees the launch of a new project with specific goal of providing support for the grandparents of the children involved.
Every day, the Abilità association provides these families and children with a series of essential services that meet concrete needs, especially those of children under 6 years of age. These services include special games, home assistance, individual psychological support, self-help groups for the parents and support groups for siblings.
